The 2018 National Judo Championships, a four-day event hosted by the Chinese Judo Association and organized by the Shaanxi Provincial Sports Bureau, with the Shaanxi Provincial Weightlifting, Wrestling and Judo Management Center, the Shaanxi Provincial Judo and Wrestling Association, and the Shaanxi Provincial Sports Lottery Management Center as co-organizers, concluded on October 13th at the Shanglin Gymnasium of Shaanxi Normal University.

As the most important event of the Chinese Judo Association in the second half of the year, a total of 30 teams and 568 athletes from all over the country participated in the competition. The competition included individual events for men and women in 7 weight classes each, and team events for men and women in 3 weight classes each.

In an interview with reporters, Xian Dongmei, president of the Chinese Judo Association, stated that although the current results of the Chinese Judo team are not ideal, in order to promote the sport of judo more widely, the Chinese Judo Association has launched events for various age groups of young people, making the sport more popular and laying a foundation for the tiered development of judo talents in China.

On October 13, the 2018 National Judo Championships concluded in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. After fierce competition, Inner Mongolia athletes won 3 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals.

It is understood that a total of 744 athletes from 30 teams across the country participated in the four-day competition. Among them, the Inner Mongolia men's judo team had 26 athletes participating in the 7 weight classes. In the end, after fierce competition, our athletes Naqin and Zalasai won the championships in the 73kg and 81kg weight classes respectively. In addition, Inner Mongolia also won the mixed team championship. Surileger, Saiyinjirigal, and Baiyinmenke won the second place in the 60kg, 73kg, and 100kg weight classes respectively, while Qingdagaga, Nairgagi, and Agudem won the bronze medals in the 73kg, 81kg, and 100kg weight classes respectively.

Yunnan men's judo team wins championship after 15 years
On October 13, the 2018 National Judo Championships concluded at the Shanglin Gymnasium of Shaanxi Normal University. In the fierce competition, Yunnan judo team athletes Srijigawa and Baiyinmenke won the championship and runner-up in the -100kg weight class, marking the Yunnan men's judo team's return to the national championship after 15 years.

In the -100kg weight class competition, Srijigawa, who had won the national championship many times before, defeated many strong players to enter the final. In the final against his teammate Baiyinmenke, he performed outstandingly and eventually won the championship in this weight class, while Baiyinmenke also won a valuable silver medal. This gold medal for Srijigawa is of great significance to Yunnan judo, as it marks the Yunnan men's judo team's return to the national championship after 15 years.

Hebei athletes achieve excellent results
The 2018 National Judo Championships were successfully held in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province from October 10th to 13th. After fierce competition, Hebei athletes won 1 silver medal, 3 bronze medals, one fifth place, and one seventh place. In the team competition, Hebei, together with Heilongjiang and Gansu, won third place in the mixed team competition.
Specific results are as follows:
Men: Xue Ziyang won third place in the -66kg weight class;
Liang Huihui won third place in the -81kg weight class; Guo Jiaxin won fifth place in the -81kg weight class.
Women: Wang Xin won second place in the -52kg weight class;
An Qianwen won third place in the -48kg weight class; Li Zhiyu won seventh place in the -48kg weight class.
Team: Mixed team won third place.
